Winnie grew up in South Florida, the daughter of the Chief of Police of Miami Dade County and a College Biology Professor. Winnie graduated from Florida Southern College in 1983 (BA). She started working in the mortgage banking and banking industry, including loan origination, underwriting, secondary mortgage market transactions, and information technologies within financial institutions from 1984 to 1996.
In 1996, Winnie joined the family practice and, in addition to handling the financial and compliance administration, takes medical record review, medical record recovery, trial preparation, lien, and subrogation resolution, including Medicare / CMS, Medicaid, Medical Set-A-Sides, Open Medical, HIPAA compliance, all in the injury and workers compensation settings.
Winnie is currently a candidate for a Masters of Studies in Law at the University of Southern California.
